Instead of using a traditional 2-dimensional display surface, Shade Pixel renders information using a deformable skin surface which provides a 3-dimensional texture to its output. The device uses a dot-matrix array of solenoids attached to a flexible Spandex skin. When sent the proper signals, the solenoids move in and out to create characters which rise and fall from the surface.
The new Rubik’s cube does away with colors and instead has blocks of different sizes that have to be lined up. It is also covered with mirrors and opens up completely making it even more challenging to get all the blocks in a row.
The NeoCube is composed of 216 individual high-energy rare-earth magnets. These magnets allow you to create and recreate an number of shapes and patterns.
In order to expand the flexibility of the cooking system, the cooktop have been splitted in to two elements: a smart surface ( which features the control interface and the power system) and the tiles ( which take the place of the burners).
Taking advantage of WiTricity the tiles can be arranged and grouped freely on the cooktop, in order to manage in a personal way the location and the dimension of the burners, as well as use the surface itself in different way, like for cutting the ingredients

FLARE is a modular system to create a dynamic hull for facades or any building or wall surface.
The FLARE system consists of a number of tiltable metal flake bodies supplemented by individually controllable pneumatic cylinders.
Due to the developed pattern, an infinite array of flakes can be mounted on any building or wall surface in a modular system of multiplied FLARE units.

714 metal balls cascade, seemingly floating unaided midair in BMW’s kinetic sculpture. The matrix of spheres undulates in organic patterns, coming to rest in the shapes of classic and modern BMW designs. Each ball is raised and lowered independently by near invisible strings, enabling them to take on any form. This piece is one of 125 exhibits on display at their museum in Munich.
